THE president, Elizabeth Cutter welcomed 47 members to the Radnor Hall.

Reports on the monthly interest groups followed, with each group continuing to have enthusiastic supporters.

Details of forthcoming outings, talks and entertainments were read out, as was the financial statement.

The outing on Wednesday, July 16 will be to the Bristol Blue Glass factory and Tyntesfield House.

The treasurer’s report was delivered by Linda Cox, the committee report written by secretary Heather Marrison was read out on her behalf by Gill Dodd, including special thanks to Elizabeth Cutter for her leadership during the year.

Members agreed the committee members for the coming year. Elizabeth was re-elected, although she gave warning that she will stand down next March.

Gill Dodd and Clare Hendicott retired from the committee and each received a bouquet.

Sue Amey was welcomed as a new member, and made a short speech stressing how important it is for people to volunteer to be involved.

Sue will be running a stall at the garden party and needs donations of small prizes.

Members then indulged in coffee and delicious homemade cakes. This was followed by a quiz about countries of the world.

The competition, an item with wings, was well supported, and Gill Dodd’s RAF brooch won.

The next meeting is on April 14 at the Radnor Hall and the speaker will be Demi Ladwa on Saris and Fashion.
