ON Saturday, March 1, the Salisbury Circle brothers, ladies and widows joined other parishioners of The Holy Redeemer, Bishopsdown, to support young Catholics of Salisbury parish in their fundraising event – a bangers and mash supper followed by an auction of unwanted Christmas presents.
This generated much-needed funds to help defray the costs of activities undertaken by the Young Group.
Circle president Joe Falzon took the opportunity to raise awareness of the Catenian Bursary Fund.
He said two young Catholics from Salisbury have already benefited from the bursary fund in the past year, with financial support for their voluntary work in Palestine and Rwanda.
