SALISBURY Rethink Carers Support Group met on Thursday, June 12 and was well attended.
We commenced with coffee and tea, biscuits and a friendly chat, which was followed by a talk from an adult mental health care worker from Fountains Way, who explained the term ‘nearest relative’ in respect of the Mental Health Act.
This was very informative and prompted a lot of questions and discussion. So much so that we may need a second visit.
The group meets in the offices of Carers Support Wiltshire, New Street, on the second Thursday of each month at 7pm.
At our next get together, we will be having a talk from a therapist about the need for carers to look after themselves and how to relax.
Any inquiries, please ring the group co-ordinator on 07818 482228.
