A FUN nature walk is taking place in Newton Tony tomorrow.

The RSPB is holding a butterfly and bumblebees walk at its Winterbourne Downs Nature Reserve at 2pm.

The event is free, but people who want to attend should book in advance with the warden Keeley Spate on 01980 629835 or keeley.spate@rspb.org.uk n THERE will be lots of fun things to do at Wiltshire Wildlife Hospital’s summer fundraiser on Sunday.

The event, which is at Newton Tony Village Hall from noon until 4pm, will include ferret racing, a dog show, pony rides, line dancing, a raffle, welly wanging, duck racing and a bouncy castle.

Burgers, sausages, crepes, ice cream, cakes and drinks will be on sale.

THE next meeting of Idmiston Parish Council is on Monday.

The meeting will be at the Memorial Hall in Porton from 7.30pm and local residents are welcome to attend.

FREE sporting activities for children are available on Wednesday in Newton Tony.

The Fun in the Sun event is at the recreation ground from 10am to 11.30am and there will be activities for five to 11-year-olds, run by Wiltshire Council’s sports development team.
If there is wet weather the activities will be held in the village hall.

DURRINGTON’S annual Sunday Funday is almost here.
The annual event, which is at Durrington Recreation Ground on August 24, includes games, dancing, stalls, car boot sale, bouncy castle, face painting and hog roast.
