Members of Laverstock Gardening Club are now reaping the rewards of a very wet spring and generally warm sunny summer, and it is hoped that this will be reflected in entries for the summer show. This is being held in the village hall on Saturday, August 30 and is open to the public from 3pm.
There is no charge for admission and teas will be available.
The annual meeting with cheese and wine is on Monday, September 22 at 7.30pm at the village hall.
Future speakers include Ray Broughton and Michael Bowyer. More than 20 members will be visiting Highgrove House garden in October.
Annual membership is £5 and details about the club can be obtained from Stuart Dennis on 01722 320522.
