The Indian Community of Salisbury was founded recently
THE Indian Community of Salisbury was founded on Friday, August 15. Vinod Desai MBE, chairman and founder of Artasia, a Southampton-based charity, graced the occasion as the guest of honour.
Inauguration of The Indian Community of Salisbury was performed by Mr Desai by the traditional Indian way of lighting a lamp.
More than 60 Indians living in and around Salisbury attended this event which was held in the Laverstock and Ford Community Hall.
All attendees took part in the celebrations that evening.
