THE Lions Club of Salisbury is part of Lions Clubs International, an organisation that has become one of the world’s most respected charitable organisations.
The Lions are very active, and looking for more members to support our work. It is simple to join and our website carries the details.
Our charity work continues apace and still follows the ethos that was set up almost 100 years ago. To be able to give money to causes we must first raise funds. This comes from a percentage of the annual membership subscription, donations, attendance at fetes and shows and fundraising events.
One such event was an auction and dinner dance on Friday, September 19 at Salisbury Rugby Club. The auction was supported by local organisations and businesses for which we offer our thanks and appreciation.
The club will be in attendance at numerous events over Christmas - watch out for dates and places. Lions will also be at the Christmas Market’s All Salisbury Sings event on December 19.
