THIS was a very lively meeting as it was the first time members had met in two months.

There was a lot on the agenda. Thirty-three people attended.

Sue Fry opened the meeting and introduced Chris Walker, the new WI advisor, who is representing members in Leeds next year.

She showed members some of the products that will be on sale for the centenary and had with her a lovely scarf with a rose pattern which should be very popular.

She also talked about the centenary baton which will be travelling around the country – it should be in Wiltshire in March and April.

Since the last meeting, members enjoyed a trip to Breamore House, which was a great success, a trip to Bletchley Park and two teams went to the whist finals. They didn’t win but had a great time.

Members were asked to give some thought to this year’s Christmas get together.

There was then a demonstration of Indian cookery by the mother and daughter duo, Pure Punjabi.

This enterprising couple provides “pop-up” kitchens for all sorts of events, private and corporate and they showed how to make chapatis in the traditional manner, which members then tasted with dhal. They were delicious.
