Members met for the monthly meeting in Antrobus House and were welcomed by the president.
Business was swiftly dealt with, including planning for teas for visitors to the area, a fashion show to be held at Wilton Shopping Village in November and various visits by the handicraft, lunch club and gardening groups.
The whist team had been successful in getting through to the finals of the Wiltshire League and coming second.
The speaker, Martyn Jones, then gave a very informative talk on fire safety. Members were reminded to check their various alarms more frequently and not to overload extension cables and leads.
It was quite an eye-opener!
He was warmly thanked by Chris Phelps.
After refreshments the raffle was drawn and birthday posies given out.
We meet in Antrobus House at 7.30pm on the second Thursday of each month.
Visitors and new members are always welcome.
