THE group is hosting its next public meeting next Thursday, January 22 at 7pm at Sarum College, Cathedral Close.
The speaker is Lindsey Sharpe, an ecumenical accompanier who saw service in East Jerusalem in 2014.
The World Council of Churches organises this work in the troubled areas of Israel and Palestine, promoting peace and justice alongside the communities there.
In addition a service will be held in Salisbury Methodist Church, St Edmond’s Church Street this Sunday, January 18 at 6pm, led by two members of SCIP – the Revd Pat Clegg and Barbara Hickman.
They will reflect on their experiences, having both recently returned from separate visits to Israel and Palestine.
Later in the year on March 13, the film Open Bethlehem will be shown at the studio theatre – details later.
