AFTER ending the 2014 meetings with a wonderful Christmas dinner at The Forester in Donhead St Andrew, Fovant WI started the New Year with an entertaining account from guest speaker Jenny Peet on clothes worn by the Tudors.
She also gave a detailed insight into the differences between being born into a wealthy or poor family, and it would seem being wealthy wasn't always better.
In our modern, antiseptic, flea-controlled world there is something to be said for 'progress'.
Fovant WI meets every second Thursday of the month in the village hall at 7.30pm.
The next meeting will be on February 12, when there will be an Indian cookery demonstration.
Everyone welcome to join us, chat with friends, share some refreshment and learn a bit more about Indian cookery.
