JUST fewer than fifty members attended the annual general meeting of the Salisbury and District branch of Parkinson’s UK. After welcoming members, the chairman and treasurer presented their reports which were accepted without question.
Mrs Jane Henderson the area manager then took responsibility for the election of officers. Other members of the committee were then elected on bloc.
Mr Ian Whetstone was welcomed to the committee. Following the formal part of the meeting members were given a presentation by Ms V Parry and Ms Claire Griffin, two neurophysiotherapists. The society is able to help members attend courses prepared by the therapists through a generous legacy left to the branch for this specific purpose.
