MEMBERS of The Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) joined regulars of the Victoria and Albert pub in Netherhampton at their busy quiz night to congratulate the pub on being voted Salisbury and South Wilts CAMRA’s Country Pub of the Year.
A team from CAMRA entered the quiz and were surprise winners on the night.
The presentation coincided with the results of a survey showing three quarters of pub goers believe a well-run community pub is just as important to community life as a post office, local shop or community centre.
The photograph shows Salisbury and South Wilts CAMRA chairman Derek Blackshaw presenting landlady Maggie Scott and her sons Duncan and Taylor with the winner’s certificate.
