RIVER Bourne Community Farm has completed work on an engineering workshop built with a £15,000 funding boost from The Hills Group Limited.
The money has been made available through the Landfill Communities Fund (LCF) which is administered for Hills by Community First, the Rural Community Council for Wiltshire.
This funding, together with funding raised from farm community events, has enabled the farm to turn a dilapidated outbuilding into a fully equipped engineering workshop.
Now it can offer farmyard maintenance and engineering skills to the farms BTEC students and provide specialist skills to others in the wider community through educational workshops.
The workshop was officially opened last week with Mary Hardwidge from Community First attending.
