I believe that a really important part of standing to be an MP is having first-hand experience of the community that you are asking to represent.

I have lived in south Wiltshire all my life and I'm standing to be Salisbury's MP because I'm passionate about making our community a better place.

I went to Bemerton St John's and Salisbury Cathedral School, before going to Bryanston School and then Oxford University to read Biological Sciences. I then worked for an MP and gained experience of the workings of Parliament. I have since trained as an electrician and now live in Salisbury centre, where I run a solar panel business.

I have been the Lib Dem candidate for two years and in that time I've campaigned to make a positive difference for our community: helping to keep our retained firefighters on call, negotiating to keep local bus routes open and fighting to keep local jobs at the HPA.

This long-term experience of south Wiltshire means that I will be able to deliver positive results for our area if elected as Salisbury's MP.

As Salisbury's MP I will: fight to protect local jobs and services in the difficult times ahead, pressure the council to improve our roads, secure fairer funding for our schools, speak up for our troops and those in the defence industry and I will work hard for everyone in our community with openness and honesty.

I was asked to stand in a safe Lib Dem seat, but I turned down the opportunity because I don't want to be an MP for just anywhere, I want to be Salisbury's MP so that I can work hard for the community which I've called my home all my life.

Robert Key's retirement means that Salisbury no longer a safe seat. Your vote matters, so please don't waste it. Labour and the Greens can't win in Salisbury, but the Liberal Democrats can.

If you want Salisbury to have a hard-working, local MP who understands our community and will get things done with energy and ambition, please support the Liberal Democrats and vote local, vote Radford.
