The Liberal will tell you that it’s a two-horse race, and that he is ‘better’ than the Conservative. The Conservative will tell you he’s better than the Labour, and the Labour will tell you he’s better than the other two.

The rest of the candidates will be there to make up the numbers, so their party get their political broadcast, and there’s hardly room for a cigarette paper between them in policy.

Me, I tell you the revolution starts here, a democratic revolution, by, for and of the people. Not this party line or that – free Independent politics. Check out my website to see what I stand for.

I first came to Salisbury in the early 60s as a child to picnic at Stonehenge and have been coming, working and or living here ever since.

Challenging the then new Criminal Justice Act, I was one of, if not the first arrest under Tressparsary Assembly, (Stonehenge) and most certainly the first Not Guilty in Salisbury Magistrates, a result that would see me later challenge HM Goverment in the European court and force an end to the so called exclusion zone and confrontations at Stonehenge, leading the way for 37,000 pilgrims to celebrate there last summer.

Some of you will remember last year I was again challenging the authorities over Stonehenge and that I found myself once again in a Salisbury court, due to my residing at Stonehenge.

You may recall it made front page of the Guardian, and was picked up by the world’s press, forcing Gordon Brown to stand up in the house and announce the release of monies for the new visitors centre. No mean feat for an Independent citizen.

I once went head to head with Steven Norris, former transport minister, on national radio over road building and environmental issues, where he was heard to say “I can’t actually disagree with anything Arthur had to say” – again no mean feat for an Independent citizen.

Well now I intend to stand as an Independent MP. Don’t let them tell you it’s a two-horse race. There are seven names on the ballot paper and it’s up to YOU who you elect. Get out there and make the effort – that’s you, the 30-40 per cent who can’t be bothered.
