HEADQUARTERS 43 (Wessex) Brigade at Tidworth activated its Operations Room after Somerset County Council appealed for military assistance last Wednesday in the light of the floods on the Somerset Levels.
A military team was sent to the Police Command Centre at Taunton and brigade units were placed on notice to move in if military assistance was required.
