* LEVELS of training on the plain will increase significantly due to armoured units training during June.

The first week will see the armoured and armoured infantry courses from the Land Warfare Centre conducting their final exercise in Challenger tanks and Warrior Armoured Fighting Vehicles across the plain, together with the Brigade Reconnaissance Exercise.

* Royal Horse Artillery will conduct two weeks of dry manoeuvre training in their AS 90 guns, and towards the end of the first week the Royal Netherlands Marine Korps will arrive to conduct two weeks of 81mm mortar live firing on the Larkhill ranges.

The second week will see the HCR deploy in its 84 CVRT to conduct low level training across the whole plain for three weeks, and 5 Battalion REME training with 3 Armoured Recovery Companies.

* YORKS will train with a company from Warriors on the west of the plain in the second week, and the KRH in Challenger tanks, together with an Armoured Engineer Squadron from 26 Engineer Regiment will be exercising in the centre and east in the last week of the month.

* Finally on June 1, 4th Battalion Parachute Regiment will be rehearsing the D-Day Normandy Landing commemoration at Everleigh Drop Zone (subject to weather conditions).
