Student designs window displays
AN A-level student at South Wilts School has put her artistic skills on show in Salisbury by working on three different window displays for a city jewellery shop.
Laura Simpkins, 17, has designed a special Valentine’s Day display at HR Tribbeck & Son in Bridge Street, in addition to one for gemstones and silverware.
She began by taking photographs of a range of items in the store before using illustrational graphics and her computer to complete the designs.
Partner Rachel Tribbeck said: “We’re very pleased with them.
“They’re very effective and we’ve had lots of positive comments. It’s nice to have a different backdrop to anything we’ve had before.”
