Matt Arnold and Nick Wright in training
A TEAM of seven, including an ex-serviceman and police staff, are taking on a 960-mile cycle challenge.
Team Lejogin7 - Matt Arnold, James McMann, Nik Otter, Rory Kemper, Simon Baker, Nick Wright and David Lines - will be setting off from Land’s End on June 1, travelling to John O’Groats in seven days.
The team has planned, trained and saved for the last nine months and the trip is self-funded. They aim to raise £25,000 for CLIC Sargent and Salisbury District Hospital’s Stars Appeal.
Mr Arnold, who left the army in December 2011 and now works for the NHS as a mobile chemotherapy operator, said: “I personally see daily the affect cancer has on people’s lives and I am proud to be able to raise funds for these worthy charities.”

The team is also looking for sponsors to help with cycling shirts, food and fuel for the two support vehicles.
