KIND-HEARTED residents in Ringwood and Fording-bridge are being urged to host a group of elderly visitors for one or two Sunday afternoons a year.
Carolyn Dennis of Contact the Elderly, a charity that offers a friendship lifeline to older people, is asking residents to offer Sunday tea to a group.
She said: “We really need homes in the New Forest where a group of elderly people can come and visit for tea. It gives them a little outing and is very positive.
“It doesn’t matter if there are children or pets at the house as this offers stimulation. We do request a downstairs cloakroom.”
