Generous Co-op customers support local groups

CUSTOMERS of the Co-op in Amesbury have helped 1st Amesbury Girls Brigade to organise a party celebrating the group’s diamond jubilee with a £1,950 grant.
And Amesbury Museum & Heritage Trust received £2,000 towards a new museum. The groups received the cash from The Co-operative’s Community Fund, a pot of money accumulated by member customers opting to donate all or part of their annual dividend to good causes in the area.
The money is distributed by The Co-operative’s local area committees.
