AN elderly woman died after falling from a stairlift at her warden-controlled house, an inquest heard.
Millicent Collier, 83, was found at the bottom of a flight of stairs at a housing complex in Guys Close, Addison Square, Ringwood, on September 24 last year.
Southampton Coroner’s Court heard that Mrs Collier suffered from paroxysmal positional vertigo, which could have contributed to her falling from the chair.
Deputy coroner Gordon Benson recorded a verdict of accidental death. He said: “Other than getting on in years she was perfectly fit and it’s one of those tragic accidents that happened.”
