Italian opportunity for unemployed young people
UNEMPLOYED young people in Salisbury and the surrounding area are being invited to apply for a 16-week work placement in Italy.
The fully-funded Trans European project, which includes a job, an intensive Italian language course, cultural trips around the Italian region, community living and local integration, aims to help 18 to 24 year olds find a job in their chosen career. Taking place from May to September, the Advantage Abruzzo For Employment scheme is in Lanciano, Abruzzo, Central Italy.
Peter Beech-Allen, director of Wessex Form, which delivers the programme, said: “We have in Lanciano and the surrounding area companies ready to take in work placements in many different industries from which we look to find one that fits with your ambitions and personal development needs.
“At the end of the four months you will earn a graded Europass Certificate of Learning, an Italian Language Certificate, a Leonardo Participation Certificate and a Host Company Employment Reference.
“These and the whole experience of living and working in Italy for this extended time will help put you ahead in the employment market for life.”
The opportunity is funded by the EU Lifelong Learning Programme, and run under the Leonardo Mobility programme. A project briefing is taking place at Salisbury Jobcentre Plus next Wednesday (March 27) and there are still places available.
