Half term looks like being plenty of fun in Ringwood and Fordingbridge
GREAT fun events are being held in Ringwood and Fordingbridge this half-term.
The Turn Up For Fun (TUFF) team is offering a day of angling with Ringwood and District Angling Association at a secret new venue on Saturday, October 26.
All equipment and bait is provided, and experienced coaches will help children aged eight and up whether they are an old hand, or if this is their first try at fishing. The day runs from 10am until 4pm and costs £13. Book on 07595 704359.
On the Monday there will be skulls, skins and gory things, with lots of gruesome finds to explore at Avon Health Country Park from 11.30am until 12.30pm, costing £3 – ring 01425 478082.
On the Tuesday and Thursday TUFF will be holding sessions at Fordingbridge Infant School (Tues) and Ringwood Junior School (Thurs) from 10am-2pm to celebrate autumn and the spooky time of year.
Over eights can stay on their own, under eights need to bring a grown-up. It’s £5 for the whole day, including all materials. Bring a packed lunch. Book a space on 07595 704359, or turn up.
On Wednesday and Friday there will be a Wild Day Out at Blashford Lakes from 10am until 3pm. Ring 01425 472760 for information.
There will also be Forest Fun at Moors Valley Country Park from 10.30am until 2.30pm, with lots of crafty and fun activities for all ages. This costs £2 – just turn up.
Thursday is Halloween, and there will be a Spooky Evening for 11-15-year-olds with lots of games, decorating pumpkins, face painting, spooky stories, goody bags and more at Avonway, Fordingbridge 6.30pm-8.30pm. This is free – just drop in.
Finally, on Saturday, November 2 there will be family bird watching at Blashford Lakes from 10.30am until 1pm, costing £3. Ring 01425 472760.
