A PHOTOGRAPHER from Teffont has won an award for her work.
Gemma Brunton has won the David Mathias Portrait Award for 2013/14, from the leading international professional body, the Master Photographers Association. The competition attracted thousands of entries from top photographers worldwide, with more than 390 pictures selected for the MPA’s annual exhibition, competing for honours in more than 30 fields of expertise.
Gemma, who is based at The Studio, Larkhams Farm in The Street, Teffont, received her award from the MPA’s guest of honour, the fashion photographer John Swannell, and Roy Meiklejon of Towergate Insurance, the award sponsor.
“I really wasn’t expecting to win this hugely competitive category,” she said. “To win such an award from our industry’s leading association is very rewarding and helps me to stand out in what is a very busy and competitive marketplace.”
