A TEENAGER who has spent her time helping others, setting herself personal challenges and working in the community has been awarded with the highest honour available to Guides.
Molly Davidson, 15, from Salisbury spent nearly two years working towards the Baden-Powell Award, which she was presented with last week.
Molly was a member of the now disbanded 14 Salisbury Guide Unit and is now a member of the Spire Senior Section, which meets at St Francis Church.
To achieve the standard required to be awarded the honour, Molly worked as a leader for younger girls, attended a challenging camp at a Guiding Centre without being accompanied by anyone she knew, and gave service to others through varied community work, all while keeping up her work at St Joseph’s School and a range of other extra-curricular activities.
Guide leader Anne-Marie Chalke said: “What she has achieved is very impressive. We are very, very proud of her. She is the first in the group to achieve this award and what she has done is outstanding.”
