COMMUNITY spirit is high in Broad Chalke, where three organisations decided to fundraise together.

Broad Chalke Primary School, The Chalke Valley Playschool and the Chalke Valley Sports Centre joined forces for a grand draw with some great prizes donated by local businesses and individuals.

Headteacher Amanda Brockway said: “Broad Chalke is a thriving village and it makes sense for us all to work together rather than being in competition for the goodwill and financial support of the local community.

“We all need to raise money for our individual projects but by pooling our resources we all benefit.”
