CHILDREN and staff at Manor Fields Primary School in Salisbury ended the term on a high after being accredited as a Booktrust Reading for Pleasure school.
Staff have worked hard on the project to encourage reading for pleasure at the school since the beginning of the year.
Work included redeveloping the library and making sure all the displays around the school promote reading.
“We are so proud,” said Mrs McMorrin. “Thanks to Jo Crisfield and Becky Crowley, our two lovely literacy leaders – they are fantastic.”
The school is also celebrating the addition of a new outside space for children to read and play instruments or games in.
The building was built this term thanks to a grant of £10,000 from the National Lottery.
