A PUB in Salisbury has launched a talent competition to raise money for a children’s charity.

Five Bells has Got Talent will see auditions taking place over the next few months on Friday evenings, leading to a grand final later in the year. Landlords Bo and Linda Handley are putting up prize money of £200 so that all proceeds can be donated to Brainwave.

The couple will be judges, along with Marie McCabe from Spire Homecare. Bo said: “People can do anything within reason, but it can’t be people already working on the circuit.”

The first audition will take place on January 31 and auditions will be held weekly or fortnightly thereafter depending on how many entrants there are. To sign up, at a cost of £5 per act, visit the pub or call 01722 327022.
