PEOPLE in Salisbury’s St Martin’s and Cathedral ward have chosen their new city councillor.
Labour candidate Patricia Ann Fagan won yesterday’s by-election with 538 votes.
Second was Conservative Solomon Peter Rimer with 462 votes, the Liberal Democrats’ Robert William Steel got 114 votes and independent candidate Ken Black got 81 votes.
The seat was left empty when Hilary Davidson stood down in November due to work commitments.
In total 1,203 votes were cast, a 25.8 per cent turnout.
