GIRLS at Godolphin School have been celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Douglas Alzheimer's Tea.
The Douglas House Alzheimer's tea party was an initiative set up by Philippa Loxton, the then housemistress of Douglas House, through which elsely people visit the school to be entertained and served refreshments by pupils.
The students recently welcomed Alzheimer's Society service-users for an afternoon of chat, tea and entertainment of music and poetry. Mrs Loxton said: “This is a great occasion which benefits both the girls and the visitors. I am delighted the tradition has been continued and appreciate all the current leadership of Douglas House do to keep this alive.”
