PUPILS from Chafyn Grove School visited the Nanaksar Gurdwara in Southampton as part of their study of Sikhism.
After putting on headscarves or caps, removing shoes and washing their hands, the children were taken upstairs to a beautiful, peaceful Prayer Hall.
They participated in a respectful ceremony, tasted Karah parshad and looked at the Guru Granth Sahib (holy book).
On returning to the Langar (dining hall), they enjoyed a lunch of lentil curry.
