POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an armed robbery at Downton's Crossroads Post Office at 8.15 this morning.
A man brandishing what is thought to be a weapon inside a bag threatened staff at the post office and made off with £4,000.
Police were on the scene investigating until just before 2pm.
Anyone with information should contact police on 101.
