Ram plaque is unveiled
A NEW plaque revealing the history of an unusual ram to be found above a shop front in Salisbury High Street was unveiled on Thursday.
Salisbury Civic Society president Dame Rosemary Spencer unveiled the plaque above Smith England hairdressers following the society’s renovation of the ram last year.
The wooden ram dates from the shop’s former use as part of the city’s woollen industry in the early part of the 20th century.
