PEOPLE braved the elements to raise money for Salisbury’s Alabaré charity on Friday.
About 75 people attended sleep-out events at four venues in Wiltshire including Salisbury Cathedral and St Thomas’s Church.
The charity expects fundraising efforts will have raised a total of £10,000 for its Wiltshire Drop-In centres.
The Salisbury sleepers didn’t get any respite from the cold, and most spent the night on the floor of the Cathedral cloisters with an even hardier few sleeping in the porch of St Thomas’s Church.
Alabaré’s centres offer hot food and drink, showers, laundry facilities, a clothing bank and advice and guidance on a range of issues including housing, benefits and health. To find out more about the charity’s work go to alabare.co.uk.
