A CHARITY shop in Amesbury is asking residents to rummage through their wardrobes to support its latest appeal.
The Barnardo’s shop in Bence Court, Archers Gate, has launched its Great Winter Stock Appeal to raise money for the UK’s most vulnerable children.
Volunteers hope to receive lots of coats, jackets, jumpers, hats, gloves, scarves, boots and bags.
Manager Michaela McEntegart said: “We always receive great support from the local community, but now that spring is finally here it’s the perfect time to clear out any pre-loved winter clothes.
“It’s important that we gather as much stock as possible throughout the warm months in order to keep up with customer demand when the cold weather hits again.”
The Barnardo’s shop is open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 5.30pm and on Sundays from 10am to 4pm and donations can also be delivered to the charity’s two shops in Catherine Street, Salisbury.
