A WOMAN was airlifted to hospital following a head-on crash in Stapleford on Thursday.
The crash, involving a Peugeot 406 and a Renault Clio, happened along the A36 between Stapleford and Stoford just after 6pm.
Fire crews were called as there were four people trapped inside their vehicles and a woman was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital with pelvic injuries. Nobody is thought to have suffered major injuries.
The road was closed until about 9pm.
