PEOPLE got a chance to take a glance at the parts of Salisbury Cathedral no one usually gets to see at two Secret Salisbury Cathedal days held at the end of April The cathedral laid on special 'behind the scenes' tours in areas normally closed to the public, with visitors able to meet and chat to specialist staff and clergy.

David Coulthard, director of marketing and visitor services, said: “People just love to find out how things happen in historic cathedrals because the rich heritage combines with a really vibrant modern-day life, so the tours, talks and demonstrations we put together for Secret Salisbury Cathedral proved very attractive.

“Those who came had exclusive access to the works yard, library, vestry and organ loft - as well as trips up to the west window for a fabulous photo opportunity.”
