PEOPLE are being encouraged to this year’s Armed Forces Day to show their support for past, present and future service personnel.

This free family fun day will begin at 11am and run to 3pm on Sunday, June 29 in Salisbury’s market square.

It will include charity stands, live music, food stalls, fairground rides, and various military displays.

Children will be able to take part in a number of free workshops including clay, arts and crafts.

Live music will be provided by Memphis Belles, The Salisbury Plain Military Wives Choir and The Royal British Legion Band.

And there will be a private presentation of veterans’ badges to ex-service personnel and Salisbury City Council would like to hear from service veterans who would like to have their badge awarded as part of this event.
