FOR the first time in many years a councillor from the south of the county has been elected vice-chairman of Wiltshire Council.
Cllr Richard Britton, who represents Alderbury, Whiteparish and the Grimsteads, will serve as vice-chairman to Melksham councillor Roy While for the coming year.
Cllr Britton said: “I am proud to have been elected Wiltshire Council’s vice-chairman. I am particularly looking forward to representing the council at various events around the south of the county.”
