GRANTS of up to £3,000 from the Police and Crime Commissioner’s Fund have been awarded to 11 projects across Wiltshire and Swindon.
The fund, administered by the Wiltshire Community Foundation is aimed at helping local groups address crime and antisocial behaviour, and improve personal and community security.
It raises funds through the sale of unclaimed lost property and makes grants twice a year.
Police and Crime Commissioner for Wiltshire and Swindon Angus Macpherson said: “I’m very pleased that this fund can support these initiatives, the majority of which seek to challenge anti-social behaviour especially by young people.
“I continue to believe that community led projects are the best way of building stronger and safer communities and engaging with, rather than excluding young people from community activities is key to success.”
