BEATLEMANIA arrived at an Amesbury school last week.

Children at Amesbury Archer Primary School have been studying all things Beatle-related, looking at the influence of the Fab Four on music, art and culture.

And when the hit West End show Let it Be came to Southampton, their teachers were delighted.

But because of their SAT tests the children couldn’t go – so the cast came to them to give them their own personal show.

Headteacher Neil Mawdsley said: “We are so pleased that the Let It Be cast was able to come to Amesbury and showcase the work and influences of the Beatles. It makes the learning journey that much more dynamic. The pupils were given the chance to ask the cast questions about the work of the Beatles - and to get up and dance. We cannot thank them enough for making this happen.”

Let it Be is touring the country until July before returning to the West End.
