A TEAM of intrepid girls from Salisbury’s Godolphin School navigated their way around a 35-mile route over the wilds of Dartmoor in driving rain and howling winds to complete the Ten Tours Challenge.
The team of Catherine Cockrell (captain), Anna van der Horst, Imogen Heitz Jackson, Ella Melhorn and Bella Beney crossed the line with two hours to spare on Sunday afternoon, coming in sixth of 16 teams on their route.
A spokesman for the school said: “The Godolphin girls showed great resilience and determination to complete the challenge and are very justifiably proud of their achievement.”
Godolphin is one of only a handful of girls’ schools to have a Combined Cadet Force (CCF).
