MORE than £15,000 was awarded to community projects by the Southern Wiltshire Area Board on Thursday.
The area board funded community grants including £5,000 to Nomansland Sports Association for a skate park and sports facilities and £2,774.50 to Landford Parish Council for the refurbishment of the sports pavilion.
Alderbury and Grimstead Parish Council received £2,250 for defibrillators; Alderbury Bowls Club was awarded £5,000 for clubhouse upgrades and the community area awards scheme received £1,500.
