A PLEA has been issued for the loan of cooking facilities to enable charity walkers to have a breakfast.

Organisers of the White Horse Challenge, which raises money for Wiltshire Air Ambulance, are searching for someone who can cook bacon, eggs and sausages and serve teas, coffee and orange juice for walkers who will be undertaking the second day of a 52-mile walk through the countryside.

The caterer who cooked the breakfast last year cannot do so this year.

The event is on Sunday, July 6 and a caterer would be needed at Preshute Church on the outskirts of Marlborough from about 6am to 7.30am.

The walkers will have walked about 27 miles the previous day and the breakfast give them a hearty start to set them on their way to complete the two day challenge.
