A WEEKLY indoor market has been re-launched in Ringwood.

The official opening was carried out by Revd David Miell of St Peter and St Paul Parish Church on Monday. The market will be held every Monday from 10am to 1pm in the parish rooms at the side of the church.

The opening also highlighted two knitting and crocheting projects for charities, supported by the Co-op funeral service.

The Co-Op Funeral Service in Ringwood has been a collection point for premature baby clothes for some time.

The items are taken to the special baby care units of local hospitals or sent to Preemies UK.

Knitters or crocheters can also collect patterns from the Co-op for small knitted items.

The other project is a charity blanket campaign which involves the local community knitting or crocheting squares, which are made into blankets and sold to raise money for charities.

Both projects are looking for knitters and crocheters.

The market will feature plants, ready planted pots and baskets, free range eggs, cards, preserves, jewellery, puzzles and sweets.

Local charities that would like to receive a share of this year’s indoor market money, or anyone wanting to have a stall can call 01725 517427 or email jane_1961@hotmail.co.uk.
