Durrington Junior School has found a fun and flexible way to help pupils start the day – a new breakfast club.
Particularly helpful to working parents, the club runs from 7.30am to 8.20am and no booking is required.
A promotional offer, to show parents and pupils what is available at the club, means the cost is just £1 per day for a trial period.
The club is run by Elaine Michael and Denise Rennie, and has been generously supported by Sainsbury’s.
With the support of Sainsbury’s manageress, Kathy Southall, the supermarket was abble to off-set the club’s start-up costs with a donation of £150. The school hopes the club will further boost its links with the community.
