RESEARCHERS at Public Health England (PHE) at Porton Down are looking for healthy male volunteers to help with a research project testing the procedures of the emergency services.

The project has been running since May and needs more volunteers to help test the decontamination showering methods used by the emergency services.

Men aged between 18 and 40 years old are being asked come forward.

Dr Richard Amlôt, lead researcher, said: “The study involves the washing equipment used by the emergency services during emergencies that require decontamination of large numbers of affected people.

“The study has been successful so far but we need more volunteers to come forward as we reach the end of this study and for future studies in the coming months.”

All participants will receive £50 in high street vouchers as a thank you for their time.
