WILTON is preparing for its annual carnival on Saturday.
The procession starts at 12.30pm from the community centre as floats, marching bands, performers and walking entries in colourful fancy dress make their way through the town centre.
Throughout the day there will be Punch and Judy shows, classic car displays, bouncy castles and entertainers at Wilton Shopping Village.
Road closures will be in place in the town centre during the procession.
The carnival will be followed on Sunday by Wilton’s Big Lunch.
From 10am to 4pm there will be entertainment and refreshments available at the shopping centre, or families can take a picnic and enjoy the community event.
There will also be a collection of non perishable food items for the Trussell Trust.
